- Nassau County LED Street Lighting for the New York Power Authority (NYPA), Nassau County,
NY: as project manager, SET led the engineering team in performing an energy study of the traffic lights in Nassau County. The
goal of this study was to analyze the energy usage; and identify and develop measures to reduce energy consumption and provide the economic justification for the recommended energy improvements. The
team proposed replacing existing incandescent traffic lights and signals with new light emitting diodes (LED) lights and signals for a Total Annual Estimated Energy Savings of approximately $1
million.
- City of Auburn, NYPA, Auburn, NY: as
project manager, SET led the engineering team in performing a study of evaluating potential Anaerobic Digester system for City of Auburn Waste Treatment facility. We proposed to install Anaerobic
Digestion system to process the sludge and produce biogas for generation of electricity and heat. The digester will eliminate the use of interim Biosolids Stabilization system. Total estimated
annual energy savings is approximately $21,000.
