- Intel Corporation, Multiple Locations, OR and AZ: as a project manager, SET designed, built and commission over 30 clean room HVAC equipment. As part of SET’s responsibility, the strict design tolerances mandated
by Intel had to be met. These tolerances included to less than +/- 0.05% humidity variation and less than +/- 0.01 degree F temperature variation from the discharge of these units.
- American Video, Latrobe, PA: this
company manufactures television tubes for Sony Corporation. during winter, the reject rate increased to 200% of their summer condition. The rejected product demonstrated an excess metallic residue on
the picture tubes. As the lead engineer, SET studies the problem for one year, gathering data and determining the causes of this rejection increase. As a direct result of this study, it was
determined that the lack of humidity causes the stamp to oxidize and leaving residue behind. SET designed a humidification system that fed the cooling air intake for the television tube molding
machine, along with a deionized water filtration plant feeding the humidification system. this system was implemented and after measuring the rejected product data, it was determined that the
rejection rate was reduced down to the summer conditions. the savings to the client was roughly $300,000 per week.
- Motorola Corporation, Austin, TX: Motorola required a very stringent humidification system to maintain humidity level in their processor film process. The variation in humidity created issues with
compliance for their processor production. As the project manager and lead engineer, SET was directly responsible to implement a new atomizing humidifier to maintain a very stringent humidification
rate in their make-up air system (+/- 0.05%) with full modulation. The success of this project resulted in working on 16 additional fabrication facilities.
- TMSC, Taipei and Sin-Chu, Taiwan: as
the lead engineer, SET designed, installed and commission HVAC for 27 different factories producing semiconductor processors. These 27 different sites required to maintain stringent temperature and
humidity. The overall systems were designed in 9 months and installed in 18 months. SET oversaw final installations and commissioned the systems.
