- Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, NY: project manager leading the team reviewing and identifying ways to improve the existing HVAC systems serving a six-story hospital building. This study
assessed ways to improve the energy consumption of the units, design new control systems to improve the overall efficiency of the plant, optimize heat recovery from the boiler stack, update all
electrical components (including all lighting), and comply with all applicable codes for fresh air intake.
- Elmhurst Hospital, NYPA, Queens, NY: as program manager, coordinated the engineering team to perform an energy study of the HVAC, central plant, and electrical systems of the main building and parking
lot of Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC). This project is a part of NYPA’s Southeast Energy Services Program and was commissioned by the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative
Services (DCAS). The design/engineering consists of replacing existing boilers with four high pressure @125psi, 30,000 lbs./hr. steam water tube dual fuel boilers with economizers and all
related accessories and controls including providing three 25,000 gallon double wall #2 oil tanks, upgrading the existing BMS/Control systems, providing waterside free cooling system with heat
exchanger, pump, piping, replace existing lighting with T-8 fixtures and adding control sensors, providing heat recovery coils and variable frequency drive to the AHUs and other equipment and
accessories addressing all other ECMs.
- Metropolitan Hospital, NYPA, New York, NY: as program manager, coordinated the engineering team to perform an energy study of the HVAC, central plant, and electrical systems of the main building and parking
lot of Metropolitan Hospital Center (MHC). This project is a part of NYPA’s Southeast Energy Services Program and was commissioned by the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative
Services (DCAS). The design/engineering consists of replacing existing boilers with three high pressure @125psi, 35,000lbs/hr steam dual fuel O type water tube boilers with economizers with all
related accessories and controls including providing two 35,000 gallon double wall #2 oil tanks, upgrading the existing BMS/Control systems and providing high efficiency control valves to all AHUs,
providing new ER AHU with steam and chilled water coils, Providing heat pipes to some existing AHUs, replace existing lighting with T-8 fixtures and adding control sensors, and addressing all other
ECMs.
- Bellevue Hospital, New York, NY - Emergency Equipment
Relocation (Sandy): SET provided automation design, implementation and commissioning
services and helped the hospital complete the relocation of critical infrastructure required for hospital operations.
